THOUGHTS/LOVE: THE OCEANIC MOMENT

The Oceanic moment. It's related to the idea of love at first sight. I have no idea why it's called the "Oceanic moment", maybe the person who coined it was by the sea that day. It's supposed to go a little something like this: you're walking along and then BAM you see her, or him, and everything else just fades to blue. Blue. That's right Blue. Maybe that's another clue as to it's name.
Suddenly knowing that you can't do without this woman or man. A shock to the system so profound that you're lost. The only thing you do know is that you have to meet them. Sweaty palms, rapid heartbeat, and dry mouth, things we all associated with being nervous. Thing is, when this moment overtakes you, all of those things disappear and all that's left to you is action.

There are two commercials that come to mind.

There was a Levi's commercial a couple of years ago where I guy is on the elevator with this girl and when he looks into her eyes her see's their future together, dating, wedding, and children. All in the blink of an eye. And there's a David Cassidy song playing in the background. I think I love you.....

And the other is a dockers commercial I think. Where a guy and a girl see each other on trolleys going in opposite directions but they both get off and run around to the other side to see one another. Gets you right between the eyes. Oceanic moment.
