POETRY: IN THAT ONE AMAZING EVENING

The smoky remembrance of last night 
Drifts softly like a dripping petal; 
Floating into the realm of the conscious 
Your lids part to welcome the new. 

I ask you softly if you love me as you waken; 
I observe your gentle form . . . 
You are strong and warm and loving, 
Laughing gladly as if reborn. 

In such joy, in morning hours, 
I have never felt so surely enchanted; 
The dusk of skin, the smile within, 
Melts over me quite calmly. 

Who am I, to watch dreams escape 
So boldly from their bed? 
Who am I to watch, and try to know 
The hidden meanings in your head? 

Not for me, such sacred dreaming, 
Paintings of past and present and future; 
I shall choose merely to love you 
To watch you shake away sleeping cobwebs. 

And so the dawn arises along with you, 
My sleeping lover. 
And I beside you, soft beside you, 
Feel love melt into our bed. 
And so until then, we dream yet more- 

For making dreams come true is so much better 
Than having them only sleep inside instead

Your deep tender voice
Your soft brown hair
Makes me wish that I was there
To kiss your lips, so soft and pink 
To see your soul without a blink
These things I know you can give
One of the many reasons I ought to live

We were walking hand in hand,
As we tumble onto the sand.
I feel so lucky and happy you were there,
Beside me, I have no fear.
We were so close together that night,
My feelings for you, I cannot fight.
You leaned forward and gently kissed me,
And found out I love thee.


We went to your room,
Then suddenly my heart went boom. 
Your hands started to move,
And oh, it felt so good!
Your lips and body pressed into mine,
Completely oblivous to the track of time.
I knew this wasn't a dream and it really was happening,
But then I awoke and realized I was only dreaming.

Love is like a rubrics cube,
you don't know which end is up.
It has so many twists and turns, 
you think you may have understood,
but up comes another color to confuse you more.
You try to cheat by taking it apart and putting it back together
but your love cube won't be the same anymore.
One day when you least expect it, when it's the right time, 
right person, right place and right state of mind,
it'll come to you, the answer the formula, the way to figure
your love cube out!

The love I see in your eyes;
The laughter from the deepest chamber in our hearts;
The sadness our eyes both weep;
The hopes and dreams we see in each other's eyes 
both combined us into one;
To feel you in my soul is the most purifying sensation 
not even the naked eye could see;
The fears and worries we both conquered together, 
make our love stronger and deeper than ever;
Our love came from far and beyond;
There is no other love in such depth like ours;
You are my life, my love, my air I breath, my everything.

For that special someone....

You see,
When I wish upon a star,
That wish is for you,
Wherever you are.

You are the one
That I wake up for.
And even when the sun sets,
You're still the one I adore.

Whenever I'm down,
Or things aren't going right...
Thank God you're around
To be there and hold me tight.

The warmth you bring to me,
Brightens up my soul.
You embraced me with your modesty.
Your words make me whole.

I've come this far,
And finally realize
I didn't need to wish upon that star...
Because here you are,
Right in front of my very own eyes.

On one amazing evening,
you awakened my soul.
Your lips, your skin, your warmth
made my spirit whole.

In that one amazing evening,
I knew you were the one.
You've filled my life with love,
it's so beautiful what we've begun.

Although our choices in life 
force us to be apart,
Thoughts of your amazing beauty
are always in my heart.

In all the stolen moments
I have been blessed to share with you,
My love grows deeper and I feel you
with me in everything I do.

Someday these amazing evenings
will be yours and mine forever.
It's the only way I know these amazing
evenings could be any better.

In You, I see a sea of blue arising from a heart 
that's pure and true.
In You, I see the sun shining bright not to be shadowed 
by the overpowering night. A thing of beauty that 
only heaven knows, with dreams of happiness and it shows. 
Through pain and sorrow you have traveled alone, 
now you have me to take over that load and to give 
the love back that you have shown.
In You there is joy and happiness unlimited for all 
you have touched with the soft heart of an angel.
In You I see love

There's a piece of myself.
It's a piece I couldn't give to anyone else.
It's a part of me- that holds a part of you.
And you have this piece of me, too.
You weren't just another name to go with a face.
You were my true love who found a place.
A place where I could love you and no one had to know.
But, when you left, I locked that place- but sometimes I go,
there just to hold you- just to see how close I can get,
to the love I'll never have again and can never forget.
Anytime I miss you, I close my eyes and you are there with me.
And you love me again... endlessly.
Sometimes I imagine I never made a mistake.
And I imagine my heart never did break.
What I did wasn't worth what I lost,
I wanted to travel the journey, so I paid the cost.
I'm not alone- you're still here.
You're in every emotion- every smile- every tear.
I am the one who loved you more than life,
but I didn't do it right.
What I couldn't control,
somebody else stole.
Now, when I think of you or hear your name.
I know you unconditionally loved me the same.

My heart is like a mirror
of reflections deep inside.
Some can look into my mirror
and see all that i hide.

Some can look inside
and all that they can see
is a vivid picture fading,
a picture of you and me.

I can rememeber when 
that image was as bright as the sun.
But the picture has started to fade,
since we are not as one.

Soon people will look
into my heart and see
the pictures all faded away,
and now it's only me.

But if they look past my image,
they'll still see an image of you.
Cuz there's a place for you in my heart,
a place you only knew.

Since you're in my heart,
We'll always be together.
Cuz I have love for you inside,
and I'll keep that love forever.

Lost in a moment, a world, a thought,
one glimpse of love leaves me distraught.
My longing pulse, for life, draws a breath
mystic genesis of life from death.

My earth Angel's kiss breaks melancholic ties,
leaving my soul ravenous for the witness of his eyes.
My Adonis my lover. Fruits ripen in turn
I, your Venus, lets passion's fire burn.

Each tender moment your eyes played on mine
your gentle soul in my heart is enshrined.
The meeting of strangers, how strange it seemed
that our eyes in remembrance of future love- teamed,

That the lock of your gaze was the 'turn of the key'
the opening of love's door, which set me free.
Two Angels, not caring how and why,
we'll look for our path and together we'll fly.

Will you, my soul mate, forever be
truthful to love... for eternity?

PART IV

This is to my love, from what I need to say
The halo that you carry brings more love everyday
When the clouds part the sky shows your face
Memorized by your beauty, falling towards your grace

The rain has dried, the sun came out
My heart will show you what love is about
Give me time and take one chance
To prove how strong our love will enhance

Walk with me hand and hand
Let's be children again, and play in the sand
I'll whisper secerts in your ear
To be so close drowns all fear

There's a thing in life called happiness
From two hearts joined in sweet caress
I've opened my arms and let you in
Keep yours open and let me begin.

As I listen,
I see her walk.
Like music playing, 
I hear her talk.

A graceful spirit,
hovers over me.
A beautiful lyric,
so filled with sweet harmony.

Her eyes of brown 
like Fall's leaves...fall,
She like a dream,
Not real at all.

As I watch her,
she is my heaven.
My tanned angel,
my hearts a revving.

Will she say yes
to my hopeful plea-
Will her lips say no?
Then I'll fall to my feet.

I envy those words 
that come from her lips.
As I listen,
hoping for life's great sin.

It's all wrong,
it's all wrong...
My feeling and my thoughts,
it's all wrong-
to her I belong.
