I'm a giver in nature. And sometimes I get involved with people who don't give back,. They never reciprocate. The question is...when you give...should you expect something back? Is love a barter? Love is express through generosity, but what if you give too much and you get burned and resentful. If you are giving, and expect something in return, is it really a gift given freely from your own heart?
Some of the people I was involved with were tracker. They keep track of everything I have done and everything other have done for not done for them. Personally, if a person gives in order to get something back, no matter how much they give and how little they expect back, they are not generous. Love is not something that can be bartered or brought and sold. Some woman I have been with have hinded about things they wanted...like flower...but I have shown generosity in other way...like make a CD or photo CD of them. I was generous, but no in the one way they think it would be meaningful.
When you are in the land of expectations....you expect other to conform to your idea of generosity, your idea of what a gift should look like......but isn't the gift he give come the bottom of his generous?
