POETRY:ALL IT TOOK WAS YOU

My beauty walks across the room
and she captivates me like a rose's soft fragrance
that tantalizes my sense of smell.
Pupils dilate so the radiance of her beauty
is consummately imprinted upon my soul.
My heart sings rejoicingly
when she flashes her pearls
which shine bright with each melting smile
she inflicts upon my sight.
Fire races to the moment of impact
with each delicate touch upon my burning flesh.
Our lips meet from a journey afar,
whose distance is filled with butterflies
dancing among the roses in bloom.
Our hearts beat to a singular crescendo
on each shared breath of desire.

Sometimes, I look up and search the sky at night,
looking in the darkness for a clue, perhaps a light
to brightly illuminate the black sky,
so that precious love will not pass me by.

Maybe God will send me a sign from above
to guide me through the inner mysteries of love.
Lord, why do I feel this way?
Lord, I do not know what to say!

Love has knocked me on my knees
and has me doing the craziest things.
I've never been so weak before;
my heart is sweeter to its core.

Waiting for that one chance
for my heart to dance,
dance to the joyful rhythm of love's beat;
causing a sensation so hot, I might overheat.

Look, there's a star shining magnificently all alone!
Could it be my very own?
Lord, thank you for the clue, the light.
Oh! and it's shining so bright.

What a wonderful sight!
What if it's right?
It's destined to be-
you and me.

Darkness, a completely black chasm,
undivided by a single ray;
but he looks upon her face as though
illuminated by a powerful beam shining upon
a priceless work of art, for all the world to see.
Yet, only he could possibly see her in this blackness,
for she is his light and no darkness
could ever conceal her from his eyes.
Her loveliness indelibly imprinted in his mind.
Always capable of seeing her in his presence or absence.
Her wonderous beauty shall live forever in his mind.
Though time will one day blemish her, to no consequence.
A vision which allows beauty to be timeless and everlasting.
For his vision is not one seen through his eyes,
but rather, through his heart.

Yours is a beauty that is hidden to me
over length, over time, only my mind can see
Even though this beauty is far from my touch
I want to see it, smell it, and taste it so much
For your beauty is so great
my heart does flutter just to wait
though your beauty is so far from my reach
its kindness stretches farther to teach
There is no such beauty as one as you're
for you are unique and the one I do so adore

I learned when you truly love someone,
You can't move on,
You can turn away,
But you won't stay strong.
...All it took was you.

I learned when you try to accept the future,
You can't forget the past.
You can find a new "love,"
But it will seldom last.
...All it took was you.

I learned you can't change your destiny,
Just enjoy what it brings,
And then you will see,
There's no other way, it was meant to be.
...All it took was you.

I learned love won't just go away,
It will never disappear,
When you find true love,
It gets stronger year after year.
...All it took was you.

I leanred when you really care for someone,
You will let them see your fears.
You won't feel ashamed of crying,
They'll comfort you through the tears.
...All it took was you.

I learned one person can make you so happy,
They're the one that makes you smile.
The one you love so much,
Can make it all worthwhile.
...All it took was you.

You see I have none of that artistic ability,
But I want it so badly, I can make it reality.
I want the world to see what I see in my heart,
I would paint your portrait and make it art.

But you see I have no artistic hands,
But on that canvas is where my heart lands.
I will work on it from what I see in my head,
Even though it might take me until I'm dead.

All of this will be seen by mankind,
It will be so beautiful it will touch the blind.
They will say, "It is more beautiful than the heavens above,"
It will be more touching than a wedding doves.

It will be so beautiful that they will name a star after it,
and in that star will be my heart just a bit.
All this for all of the world to see
What true beauty can really be.

Would you be my lover
And take me far away
To explore the side I've never seen
If not for just a day

Would you be my lover
To share your soul with me
We can be forever young
Carve our names beneath a tree

Would you be my lover
And wipe away these tears
Nurse me with sweet caress
I haven't felt for years

Would you be my lover
If only in my dreams
To wake with me each morning
And be the love I've never seen

The world awaits my solemn vow.
To my heart the stars endow.
Twisting, winding,
Fearless, binding.
True love, I have never known before.
How far must the path go to reach that door?
Soaring, flying,
Forever dying.

Whispering winds howl through the twisted banyon trees,
ogling a sound of harmony.
As hypnotic as the wind, the waves caress the shore
rolling in like a mini thunder storm.
The peaceful sky sparkles with shimmering glitters
and echoing sounds of seabirds perform their ritual love calls.
As he glances down the white sandy shore,
an image of pure light emerges.
Like the wind she moves with grace,
his heart begins to pulse and pound off rhythm.
He can no longer hold his posture and focus his thoughts.
Conflict within his soul begins to erupt,
his mind begins to race searching for words
and the courage that would enable him to move
towards this angel from heaven.
Beautiful, brown eyes focus towards him
like a blow from a hammer, he is leveled by her beauty.
Gasping for words from deep in his soul
he murmurs HELLO!
A smile forms from her lips that stretch across her face
and with the voice of a harp, she replies HELLO!
The wall he built around his heart collapses,
never was this to happen, for he was doomed to never love again

In the still, darkness of early morning
I awake with a song of hope
Still fresh on my lips

My heart filled with the light of love
Never known, until we were one
Consuming my entire being
Every thought, each single breath

My memories dance

You and I touching hands, touching hearts
Touching each other's very souls
As we dance in the joy of our love

Slowly, dawn brings light
And I know the realness of my pain,
For you are no longer mine

I try to cast these intruding thoughts aside,
Desperate to linger in the love dance
For just a few precious moments more
But the music has ended, and I know

Today's hours will lead my body through the day,
Waltzing alone to the sullen beat of my heart

Devotion? Is it real or pure illusion?
To those who have the spirit and desire of love within them,
It is the most trusted thing known,
Other than love itself.
But, for those, where love is merely a spoken word,
Not, also, a feeling forged deep within,
It is meaningless and should not be called love but... deceit,
Deceit of the mind and, moreover, of the heart.
To those where love is pure and treasured,
Devotion is everything of their world,
Not to hear lies but truth from thy partner,
And, moreover, their love.

Awaken from dream in the middle of the night
I sat on the bed with wandering thoughts,
even though I couldn't recall the scenes
that tampered with my sleep.
The darkness still covered the room -
my eyes tightly closed and squeezed -
I deeply sought meanings to the night.
But as darkness of the night
gave way to bright light of the day,
my memory began to reconstruct
the vivid pictures of the vision:
In rapid succession of appearances
you showed me multiple ways
you could please, and what your love
could, in a short time, accomplish.
You made a bed of gold, gently laid
me down in the middle, and fully
covered me with roses and flowers,
in sweet communion of your love.
Then I embraced peace that fully reigned
in my soul, bringing forth fruits that inspired me.
As the door slowly creaked open
I saw you gently step into the room,
stretching out for my passionate grip.
You made me the focus of the dream
(I relayed the contents to you in brief)
and my desire to reach perfection of love and life
was enlarged by interpretations you reached.
You lightened up my mood with your face
beaming with laughter and smile, and together
we spent the day caressing with wet smooches,
feeling you permanently lodged in my heart.
