POETRY: LOOK INSIDE MY HEART

What does it mean to be in love?
Sometimes it's symbol is... two doves,
It's a sharing of two lives,
Memory filled achives,
It's a deep deep bond,
A horizon of emotions dawned,
It's something unexplainable,
But you know your capable,
It's the other person on your mind,
Someone of your own kind,
It's the gift of a simple smile,
Being willing to go the mile,
It's accepting the good and bad,
A feeling that's not just a fad,
It's being there,
All the time to cry and care,
It's being more than a friend,
The one who always has the time and shoulder to lend,
It's a mixture to find a single definition,
But it seems to be our lives mission.

Tonight....I smiled
when my mind turned to you,
remembering times of joy
when only your love would do....

My heart felt the call
whether near or far....
Standing on a lonely beach,..
or gazing at a solitary star....

The world was full of life,
Colours swirled in and out of me,
The sound of rain delighted us,
our passions had been set free....

Nights were brighter while
the days stood strangely still...
we walked alone yet together,
upon roads that led uphill...

In time your heart and mine
found the rhythm of light
the world was a playground,
each day was even more right...

my passion, my heart, my life....
I love you......and I always will...

So many times, people walk in and out of your life,
But there is that rare occasion when you find someone who stays.
I have never thanked you often enough,
To tell you the joy that you have brought into my life.

I don't believe that you know
Exactly what you have come to mean to me,
The strength that you have given me to succeed,
And the happiness you give, that brings me to smile every day.

If you love someone, tell them,
So I'm telling you that I love you.
If you have ever asked me why I love you...

I love you for your support, which never left my side,
I love you for your smile, so contagious and bright.
I love you for your embrace, both gentle and warm,
I love you for your kiss, which has its own little charm.
I love you for your face, which I know just like my own,
I love you for your voice, its wonderful and joyous tone.
I love you because you accept me, and make me feel whole,
I love you for your laugh, which touches my very soul.
I love you for your honesty, never have you lied,
I love you for your openness, always willing to try.
I love you for your knowledge, always willing to share,
I love you for your gentleness, the way you handle me with care.
I love you because you helped me love, like no other could,
I love you because you listen, because no one else would.
I love you because you know me, like no one has before,
I love you because you're wonderful, taking away my heart's sore.
I love you for your eyes, which twinkle with delight.
I love you for being my shining star, in my heaven, shining bright.

So thank you for being so absolutely wonderful,
Thank you for being my best friend,
Thank you for giving me that special gift no one has before, true
love.
So if I randomly say thank you or smile and give you a hug,
It's my way of letting you know that you are the most special person
to me.
So...
Thank You.

Upon life's churning ocean
when storm clouds threaten
and scare
The thought of bluest jewels
that swell the heart
lessen the force of the waves.

Booming thunder and flicking lightning
highlight the beautiful face of my love
standing next to me in the storm
giving hope's light in forceful darkness
helping me stand against the weight
and giving me her strength to go on.

Against the raging winds we bend
but in each other's arms we hold firm
all the powers that nature and hell
disperse upon our souls
will never, in all the eternities
make us fall to our knees.

As I lose myself in the depths of her eyes
peacefully floating in paradise
I come to understand that no power
in this world or any world after
will ever be able to keep me
from holding her beautiful hands.

You touch my soul like no one else,
ripping and tearing through my exterior
revealing my true self.

You have me where I wake up
and you're the first thing on my mind,
staring aimlessly at my bedroom ceiling
time torturing me
as it slowly passes by.

Really though, what is it that you do to me?
... always comprehend.
You boggle my mind in countless ways.
The complexity of your whole essence
puts me in a helpless daze.

And I never felt the wind so cold.
I never knew what it was like
to walk alone.

The sun doesn't shine as bright
as I thought it to be.
The darkness of night
brings an overwhelming cold feeling
inside of me.

I never experienced these feelings
until you were gone.
My eyes still wide open
but what I saw
... it felt all wrong

For no longer could I see
the radiant glow in your eyes,
that brightens your beautiful face
shining everywhere, the sun can't shine.

The simple smile you present
that makes me melt where I stand,
Your guiding warm, gentle hands
healing my wounded soul
over and over again...

The tranquility and calmness of your voice,
that could stir silent every endless wave in the ocean
without force

But most of all, it's your heart,
undoubtably one I've never seen.
It's a blessing from heaven above.
I prayed to God,
one day he'd show me.

... hesitate, but unable to push away the inevitable...

It's time to move on,
this road has come to an end.
I know we should walk away.
Please, we can't look over our shoulders at each other
... once again.

In life you come across
a diverse group of individuals,
some that last a short moment
but others that stay and keep you.

The precise second you walked into my life
it changed dramatically.
You revived the flame inside of me
I thought had been put out
... for eternity.

and feel the warmth of your embrace
Can't wait to kiss you
and ease my hands upon your face

and feel your arms around me tight
Can't wait to love you
through every day and night
Can't wait to gaze into your eyes
and feel my heart being swept away

and hear the sound of your voice every day

for you are nowhere near
Seems like I'll never find you

As I drop down to my knees
and my loneliness sheds its tears

will my fantasy love come to be true
My heart and soul are lost in a dream

Let me tell you about this dream I had, it started out
good but then it went bad and in this dream I saw you there-
me holding you, touching you, running my fingers through
your long black hair

I held you close and called you mine I wanted that moment to
last an eternity or just a long, long life time, but at that
instant darkness dwelled upon the land- I reached for you but
I couldn't feel your hands

I thought to myself, can this be true- am I really going
to lose touch with someone special like you?
I looked around from left to right but you were nowhere
in sight, I fell to my knees and made
a promise that I wouldn't give up without a good fight

I looked long and hard under every rock and stone
I would have called you collect but in my dream I had
no phone, dazed and confused I didn't know what to do
then I heard a voice speak to me from out of the blues,
it spoke to me in a soft and gentle tone, it said,
find her, find her, even if you are alone

When the voice was all said and done I woke up to
no moisture on my tongue, the phone had rang and
I fell out of my bed with a big bang- I picked up
the phone and to my surprise it was your voice on the
other line

I was happy to wake up and see that it was all
a dream, realizing that reality is different, at least,
that's what it seems

Where fireflies dance amongst the moonbeams
set in deep blue velvet skies,
the stars' pin-point lights glitter
white gold through silken threads of time
Her eyes shone with love
from the reflection of my heart beating deeply.
It called her name
Lips touched briefly, magic touch, the embers
flickered warmer inside
Set on fire souls flowing toward destiny
like gossamer satin shadows
Flames burned with rainbow colours in clear black darkness
Seeking, a single glistening tear spun a shining track
sliding slowly over soft moist skin and hung
from the corner of her petal dew damp lips

If I could give my heart to you, I would,
However, I'm too late, it already belongs to you.
If I could give you the stars, I would,
Yet I can't, I see them already shining in your eyes.

I would give you the world if I could, but it is not mine to give,
You remain without a clue how I feel, I can't say it,
I'm so afraid you will never see me the same again,
If I had my soul in my possession I would give it to you,
You have that at this time as well.

What can I do to tell you...
How can I go to you and say how I feel?
Is there a way around this...
Why do I have to love you?

If there was a way to tell you without being afraid,
I wish to know it,
Then I would have done it a long time ago,
If I knew whether I was worthy of you
I would not be waiting to tell you.

What can I do to tell you...
How can I be rid of my fear?
Is this a risk I'm ready to take...
Why am I cursed to love again?

If you were here with me right now, I would spill my entire existence,
I would tell you ... you are the wind my wings ride upon,
I would tell you ... you are the air I breath,
I would tell you ... you make me feel complete.

What can I do to tell you...
I really wish I knew
For you are the one whom I wait for.

for I vision a life with the two of us
it's a dream
a dream of love
a dream I thought that never could come true
for only a minute if
you can be in my mind to see how much
I think, care and love you
for only if you could see
what you do to me
for I have fallen hard
everytime I look into your eyes
you take my breath away
for when I close my eyes at night
all I see is your image and nothing else
for when I sleep I dream of you
whereever I go
whoever I'm with
you're always on my mind
and I'm always carrying you in my heart

I know not much of the world today
The problems of society and human ways,
But what I know is this thing...
Love will find me one lucky day.

Standing beside lust, under a tree,
With its seductive eyes looking down upon me.
When lust talks I quiver in sadness,
Because I know lust has captured my happiness.

Just as I think that lust is true,
Love comes along and tells me the truth.
What I thought was right is ever so wrong
Because love is meant to find you.

With a smell of roses dipped in honey,
When love smiles I turn into putty.
Its delicate hands are so very small,
To hold them would be my ultimate downfall.

Looking at lust I tell it to leave,
My one true love has finally found me,
She is the one that I will hold.
She is the one that I won?t let go.

Standing under a tree is where I found it,
A love that is more than a pot of gold,
I am not sorry for betraying lust,
It will find someone else to clutch.

With a smell of roses dipped in honey,
When love smiles I turn into putty.
Its delicate hands are so very small,
I now hold them with a love that is so much.

Look inside my heart, I know that you will find,
A very special place, another space and time

Where stars gaze at the moon, shining brightly from above,
It's here the dance begins, as lovers trust in love

At first we start out slowly, wrapped in each other's arms,
Touching bodies, dancing softly, mesmorized by charms

We kiss, we move a little closer, then stop awhile to rest,
You hold me, oh so tender; I lie my head against your chest

Look inside my heart, it's a very special place,
Where lovers gently touch, and spirits do embrace...
