LOVE LETTER: WHAT IS ABOUT HER THAT MAKES HER SPECIAL

What is it about her so especially special? Our lives lived as polar opposites, attracted through infinite understanding. In her I see vague reflections of myself; considered shy for not seeking attention, quiet for not being loud, and isolated for not being exposed. I look to her and wonder - and wander - what eyes look back at me. Through my eyes I once saw a world where love was subjective, to be absorbed and explode from all things - even the intangible. Where others concentrated their love to one and one only, I dispersed mine as evenly as I found imaginable. I lived alone, but not lonely; less loved by one, but more loved by all.Her eyes, especially special eyes, pierced through mine and saw inside. There was something between us unlike anything between anyone else - the something was nothing, emptiness, a void. The gap, though it was there, seemed out of place - the emptiness was meant to be filled, extinguished by our coming together. Older eyes of mine see memories of failure, cases of futile relationships, and arguments as excuses for withdrawal. These eyes saw fear, fear of surfacing a pain submerged and forgotten but not overcome. Time - erosion --I hoped would dissolve and destroy the submerged pain; but hope doesn't fill the Well. Cured, higher than any drug before, she absolves me. For something especially special, I become selflessly sacrificial; that void demands fulfillment. I have long waited, not to leap for love like a child to catch a butterfly; rather, to nourish and be nourished - as a cocoon - to share its transformation into something beautiful - something especially special.
