THOUGHTS: LOVE IS SOMEONE BEARING WITNESS TO YOUR LIFE

Sex in the City Episode called expiration dating. The idea of falling for someone with whom there was a bulit-in time limit seemed terrifying at first, until I realized...but isn't that what death is? People are drawn to people who they can learn from, and intimacy is a deep learning. The exchange is uniquely wonderful with someone who know the lyrics to the same songs you do. i think of one who walk the path with me when it is smooth and when it was rocky, when ti was cook to know me and when it was cool to put me down, when I was laughing like a loon and when I was crying like a child. She is the one who seen me. That is the ultimate value, I think of relationship that move throught the years without dissolving. Someone bearing witness to your life. You don't experience yourself in a vacuum, someone else know your story. There were as excited as you were when something marvelous happened to you and they never said...I told you so when you did something stupid you would later regret. They have faith in the longer narrative of your life. They've see you grow from your losses as well as your wins.
