SPIRITUAL/ LOVE: GOD'S WILL FOR US IS ACTUALLY OUR OWN TRUE WILL FOR OURSELVES

The problem is that the you that thinks, speaks, and acts to create the future of your choice is not necessarily you at all. It may well be the false self that is controlled by the ego. We need to understand that each of us has two wills, one that our true self shares with the universe and all other beings, and a split-off individual will that is under the sway of our ego.

When we allow the ego to interpret what we see, we seem to look out upon a frightening, meaningless world where nothing we achieve ever satisfies us for long. However, we can instead choose to surrender to our higher power and make the happy discovery that God's will for us is actually our own true will for ourselves. Your ego, on other hand, wills that you perpetually seek for love, but never find it.

The moment you stop trying to control everything and entrust your safety and happiness to a loving and supportive universe, you'll automatically suspend the fearful, ego-generated thinking that has been holding you back. Because God wills for you what you truly will for yourself, you can safety replace all your positive affirmations with a single all-purpose prayer...Not my will, but thine be done. Simply give up on trying to do things your way...which is to say, your ego's way---and follow the instruction of your divine guide to the fulfillment God wills for you.
