POETRY: I WISH WE COULD STAY LIKE THIS....

The sweep, the rush
The wind of your presence in my life.
You came with such clarity, 
and without purpose.
With intense grace, without a plan.

And now I am carried away in the gusts, 
No, building driving wind of your love. 
The earth shakes, the world changes,
But you are still clear, pure, 
transparently honest to me, and I to you.

The mist, the hint of a shadow, 
creeping between us,
I will resist with my entire being.
Never have I had such a connection, 
and never again will I seek it.

For with you I am complete, 
alive within all of my being.
My hands, my heart, my mind, 
are yours to treasure or 
dash on the cliffs of love unfulfilled

Passion
Like a burning flame, burns for your voice.
The power to consume your love
Fills the mind with desire.
The truth within, steps up.
You still see clearly.
Clearly you're mind is no longer a fog.
The rain is gone.
As if,
My love for you yet again has filled my mind.

In love springs hope
eternal in my mind
Though dreaming such
is a diversion
From routine's ways
Yet in love I seek
my progress
To escape this dull
dying and -
Seeking love's discovery
Come alive again

In love is my salvation
escaping from deadly
Descent into boredom's
banality
Here in this place
of passion regenerated
I come alive
Reborn in the youth
of life
Each sound a storm
of living
Each gentle touch
a surge of creativity
And in such love
I am alive 
Again

In love, and only
here
There is hope
Rejuvenation
In the pursuit
of life's renewal
In children
and in passion
Of discovering
each other
In the loving
of intimacy
Throwing off the
shroud of convention
In seeking hope
in love's heart
And in so
being
Hope is love

Of silky waters awash with blues
Immortal earth's heavenly hues
Beauty lay upon seductive seas
Glimmered ripples play upon the breeze

Beyond the ribboned colors of red
Where city lights dare not tread
Radiant sparkles glitter above
A blackness broken by pearl doves

My gaze rests upon your eyes
Luminescent stars in midnight's sky
As your stare pierces into my heart
The melody of a soul's lonely art

Growth brings you new beauty and fears
And with new years will come new tears
Yet those closest will hold you high
When not much else to do but cry

Your beauty of heart exceeds the skin
A light spreads to others from within
I ask you for one descriptive word
Appropriate aren't any I've heard

With you my thoughts I will share
Easy you are with heaven to compare
Its heights, like yours, never conceived
To find a soul so pure I never believed

Parallel are you to all so pure
The aura about you offers its cure
If fortune and future shall allow to be
I wish your light closer to me

When I go to bed every night,
I see your face,
It helps me go to sleep
full of grace.
Even if we are apart,
I know this to be true:
Even if you are not thinking of me,
I'm thinking of and loving you....

I wanted to talk to you and tell you how I feel.
I wanted you to know that your love has 
opened up a whole new world for me.
When I see you, my heart skips a beat, 
I lose my breath and all but fall to my feet.
When you touch me, it makes me weak to my knees.
Once before I thought I knew love, but that wasn't the case.
I could never feel this strongly about another soul.
Your eyes, your smile- 
everything about you seems to be perfect to me.
There's nothing about you I'd change.
I try to find the words to explain how I feel,
but no words can explain something so real.
So let me just say one thing before I go,
I'll love you forever, 
I just thought I should tell you so.

The night was long,
The sky was dark.
Dancing hand in hand,
To my favorite song.
Your touch so soft,
Your taste so sweet.
We move together,
Hands to feet.
I wish we could stay like this,
Every minute...
Every hour....
Forever

I watch you from a distance..it?s the safest way...
as you subsist in your world, not so self-assured,
the ground beneath your feet succumbing to the weight
of all that is within you...
...and yet your back is straight.

You wish to be a scourge in this world of yours...
to level the sanctimonious constraints of those
who surround you and decimate those who negate you
and yet you are the elan vital which saves me
from the banalities of my world.

I long to see myself through your eyes...
to see my skin glistening in your immense heat,
to feel myself through your touch and feel
my malleable skin being shaped into submission,
to taste and take in the desire I exude
whenever you are near enough to take hold of.

For one ephemeral moment you belonged to only me,
a tragic representation of what might have been
had I the audacity to say ?I love you?, 
and you the presence of mind to will it of me.

I've longed for a place 
Where I can find a peaceful calm
Within the chaos of my mind.
Please allow me to lie in your arms
and rest my weary head.

Surrounded by the warmth of your embrace,
Enveloped in our love 
Keeps all my heartache at a distance
Outside the realm of us.
I can find relief and be assured 
The mind may find inner tranquillity
Where all sorrows may be dispelled.

Where I have discovered such a place...

Nestled in your arms
Lying against your breast
A rhythmic melody can be heard 
This tune soothes my restless heart
I have found my serenity
While wrapped in my lovers arms.

There is a place I must face
across the lake so blue.
The distant hills my heart it fills
as one so lovely as you.
My love pours out in thought and feelings true,
as I paint this picture of you

Will you come dance with me,
along the shore.
Will you please?
Dance like a summer breeze.
Sing a ballad to my heart,
to pierce it fiercely like a dart.
The stars will dance the moon will sing,
as the chapel bell rings.
We'll dance forever,
till the break of dawn.
We'll dance until we feel withdrawn.
the sound of silence embraces the night,
as we embrace in a simmering flight.
A flight of chance,
to begin romance.
As the song dies down,
there is no frown.
For we are happy in the ending night.

For a moment
I knew you 
without fear

For a moment
I stepped closer
and shed a single tear

For a moment
I saw my entire future
in your soft spoken promise

For a moment 
I felt love
with a stranger,
with a well known lover,
with my past,
with my destiny.

and then an eagle soared above,
transmitting his energy
through me
and one moment has since endured,
the moment I loved my self,
who I will always be,
and what within will grow.

it is now that I know
not to yearn 
for a moment
or remember
for a moment
or savor a moment

because one day will come
when I will love
for ever

and that day will come to me,
so long as I am free,
from a moment.
