LOVE LETTER

You are my sunrise warm salmon and golden hued, and you stretch across my sky like an angelic echo. Your starlit eyes breathe meaning in every glance--a quiet colloquium punctuated by borealis smiles. When I feel your cheek against mine, I understand the meaning of love and life. I photograph you with my eyes as rebel strands coil dark silk along edges of your ears, then bounce as you dance like a wildflower in wind. Even in momentary stillness, I see your inner fury-- fire in your soul. I will play keeper of the flame, and before my night draws near-- I will teach you to shape and hold it in your hands. In seasons between dawn and dusk, when my light fades into a flicker --take your spark and set the world on fire
