PERSONAL: I MAY NEVER KNOW YOUR NAME

I may never know your name or ever speak a word to you. But I know the way my heart leaped when your dark eyes glanced at me.I took in each of your features. A mental picture, I'll carry with me always as a cherished memory. So, if fate brings us together again...I'll still recall your breath-taking face. I wonder if you saw the look deep within my eyes that, I am sure could have led you to my soul.Maybe someday we'll meet again. Perhaps many years from now and, still, I will remember your heart's smile.

Once, walking on a midwinter's morning. I spied two lovers in a brilliant glow sitting by the streams of a waterfall, falling And laughing in ways an old novel would know. Their speech appeared natural, sounded so pure As if they were one but defined as two.And the shine to their eyes and faces could lure.Any who coveted their love, soft and true. Though many souls were wandering silently, but one took the feeling quite literally and kept it in her locket of hearts, adoring. This prized possession, her gift from above; And I?  I could claim to know something of love Once, walking on a midwinter's morning.
