PERSONAL/POETRY: MY DEAREST LOVE OF MINE

My dearest love of mine,
I really love you so,
You hold me, kiss me, touch me,
And I tremble at your touch.

My dearest love of mine,
I really hope you know,
I need you, want love you
And I’ll never let you go.

My dearest love of mine,
I grow attached to you.
My heart is screaming for your kiss.
I need you by my side.

My dearest love of mine,
Your lips are so divine.
I hope you know I need you so.
I’ll love you forever more.

If I had an eternity to show you how I feel
We'd witness the dawn of life infinite times over.
If I had the vision I'd show you with such precision
How love lights blind with delight as embers under the universal night.

With raw passion and intensity
We're devoured by life's brief but overbearing immensity
As we drift with souls of Eden.

Eden, wash us pure of this modern day manure.
And make our bed from all of your precious flowers.
Take us to God's lips to be captured by the kiss that enraptures us with bliss.
And lets our limber bodies fall to Earth's abyss.

Please heed our humble plea and set our mortality free.
For it cries a tearful sea.  One so shallow.  One of sorrow and of misery.
Keep us fearful as we were as babes.
Keep us cheerful for the love we praise.

Unto no man give ethereal release until his time has ended
And his weary soul's at peace.
Unto no woman give weighty tasks of heart.
As of a Mother torn between reason and abandonment
By umbilical departure.

Maturity takes us through irreversible seasons.
Is it a natural state?  Or a wild fated treason?
Can you understand that which puzzles all?
As I call 'Eden!  Do you hear?'  And 'Is my question clear?'
That you might answer I most fear.

What burden should such truth display.
To my meek and weak disposition I dismay.
Tell me should you ever speak:
Does love stand to win?  Or shall it break beneath hatred's heavy feet?

I know.  O, Heavens, please don't tell.
For such a truth shall send us spiraling to Hell.
Wings clipped by a blasphemous spell.

Embrace us in a cuddle that'll thaw the world.
Warm our hearts as would a honey bear's fur.
Of all joys love is not one to be surpassed.
It is a summery day in dead of winter.
It is my love's reflection in the glass.

It is her child-like walk and her baby talk.
It is her cold cheek's brush against mine.
It is her angelic face aflush when she pretends to be shy.
It is imagination of our unborn babes.
Mommy and daddy and their little horseplay.

It is the promise of a dream complete.
It is a firm shoulder on which to lean
When met face first by a brick wall of defeat.
Forgive me, Host of everything that is.
For my manners leave civility amiss.

You see t'wards the future and all things not yet conceived
But never bother with trivial things of ease.
I thank you kindly, for you leave us with time to squander
And perplexities to ponder.

We appreciate the challenges, sought with great nobility and valiance.
We welcome the advances and the rewards in risks and chances.
We are grateful for the mates we've chosen.
Although I wish in this place in time I were frozen.

For a love as this I shall surely miss when life's curtain makes its final draw.
But each show must reach its last act and their authors their demise.
For today we bask in the glory of this great prize.

A prize which cannot be touched by mere digits.
It is no trophy that is rigid.
It's...well , we'll just have to wait and see.
I mustn't spoil it and I don't mean to tease.

My words just wouldn't make it so.
Or even give off the slightest glow.
For when our eyes entwine our souls
Through each's window we shall go.

A wink, a blink, a flickering lash.
A sudden glimpse, a stare, a glance.
They seem so brief but believe me they last.
If one looks closely one can see to the past.

And memories gone by all too fast
Revisited in reflections of glass.
In our eyes of love.
In forever's romance.

Dearest love of mine
With whom I want to share kisses divine
Whose touch I long to have around me
Please sit awhile and listen carefully

What do you mean you have to go right now?
Will you give me a chance to explain somehow?
Will you let me show you what I can give?
I just don’t want you gone; I don’t want you to leave

I don’t wanna live alone with broken dreams of you
I know that I’m scared and I know you are too
I know that the world we live in is full of hate
So please just let us love each other before it’s too late

I’m trying hard to be optimistic though the future is unclear
I know that there are dangers, there is much to fear
We live in different worlds and revolve around them
But I want a love with you the way I dreamt

I will never stop wanting you
And no matter how hard you’ll try
My love for you will never wane
Not even when I die. . .

I am searching for my future wife/soulmate. Please stop by again.

I asked 12 men over 60 what they miss most about their 40s and not one of them said their career, their body, or their social life — every single one described a moment so specific and so small that I had to pull over to write them down by Tommy Baker

You know what I miss? The sound of the garage door when she’d get home from her pottery class on Thursday nights.” That’s what Frank told m...
