POETRY: I TRUSTED YOUR LIPS, BELIEVING THAT YOU ARE MINE

Here I am wondering why...
It has to hurt so bad
Not an answer...
Just our favorite music... what we used to dance to.

I let your being so deep inside my heart.
Confident, at your side, I even started to fly.
Oh! God, she hurts me so bad.

I trusted your lips, believing that you were mine
and in this hard moment I have to accept they were all lies.
I let you guide my mind. My mistake? You tell me that.
Living with no regrets... you never taught, me being such a man.

Right now I can't do anything without you holding my hand.
You've let me be a broken spirit
a melted brain impressed with dashing lies.
I am a lost soul in the ocean of this room,
hoping to be fused with the ashes you left behind,

2

Dream my love,
by flickering candlelight,
where magic comes
mistily within your sight.

Where I can meet you
on the other side of day,
and we can love again,
feel free to laugh and play.

I am waiting for you there;
listen, my voice rides the wind,
and my arms embrace
the warmth of your soul once again.

Lightning stikes to show the way
into mystic dreams for you and I;
It is the world of my domain where
words flow into whispered sighs.

For there I shall love you,
I am yours and you are mine,
Inside a dream or daylights glow;
we will live forever all through time

If beauty had a face,
It would look a lot like you.
You are, by far, the most beautiful thing,
God has ever created.
You're beautiful on the outside,
As well as on the in.
You are kind and gentle to all.
You could never hurt another person.
You smile all day long.
Your eyes glow with happiness.
You light up every day.
You greet whoever comes your way.
All these things and more,
Make me love you.
Whenever I am sad,
You are the one who makes me glad.
Whenever I am mad,
You are the one who comforts me and calms me.
You're there when I need to cry,
Or when I need someone to listen.
I am eternally grateful.
Your shiny, soft hair,
Your dazzeling smile.
Your sparkling eyes.
Perfection at its' best.
Oh, yes, If beauty had a face,
It would look a lot like you.

Under the patient watch of candlelight,
My pen flicks like a wasp.

I write of our memorable days,
Holding hands on streets,
Chasing stars in togetherness,
Entangled in oneness, like worms
Hooked to the lining of the stomach.

You are like the petals of the hibiscus,
Delicate to my touch,
Slipping like the thread of a seamstress,
Passing through the needle?s eye.

Friendship, love, life, passion
precious gifts of god

people walking, talking empty words
pointless adjectives among people who care less

worlds of anger, danger, suffering, agony
troublesome teens, hurtful adults

flipping through channels of freaky Fridays
and thoughtful Thursdays

when loved ones kiss, embrace each other
with feelings more powerful than life itself

while the other seldom-few sit replicating
lifeless corpses of nothing

in this world you deal with, what you are dealt
even if it's not what your heart impatiently waited for

"everything happens for a reason"
the young girl says to herself

...as she drifts into her own never, never land

6

I want to have you in my life
My dreams at night are you, as my earth
Come let me hold you, hold you tight
Late at night in the middle of a moonlit night

You've tinted my life with joy and gladness
You've chased away my pain and sadness

Can't help but sleep with you on my mind
Without your sweet words, my heart is blind
Come my angel, come take control
Come drown in my heart, let me burn in your soul

"You'll never be alone, I will always be there."
I think not to live without you near, I must feel and hear you

I lay in the darkness of my lonely room
I miss you my love, like a nightless moon
My eyes are yearning, my mental is churning, my heart turns blue
I hope some day my dreams will come true

7

Days I prayed for this
Nights I dreamed
Now you're here
And it seems
This is where
You should've been all along
Like the melody to my song
And now the circle feels complete
But it's hard to believe
I've been confused, lied to,
Mistreated for years
But the pain disappears
All my fears
Gone
When you shelter me in your arms
With every kiss I give you my heart
It's yours if you take it
Pure, true, and real,
Nothing undercover, completely naked
You touch me with passion
And I've forgotten the pain
You soak me in sunshine
And pull me out of the rain
Look in my eyes
Let me see what's inside
Are you as tired as me
Tired of fake, tired of lonely
Is this how it feels
When it's finally real
Do your kisses lie
Or are they really telling me
It's time
I've waited long enough
Is it time for me to trust

Your heart is not just a muscle
that beats inside your chest.
It's a place where all
of your love can rest.

Your heart is not just a part of
your body; it's part of your soul.
But sometimes your heart
can take a toll.

Your heart can be broken;
your heart can be shattered.
Your heart can be whipped;
your heart can be battered.

Your heart can be your enemy;
your heart can be your friend
your heart is the little voice
inside you that said
"i think i can"

9

I stared into your eyes.
Your eyes looked soft.
They made me feel comforted.
If I had an extra lifetime I would have spent it
Losing myself in your eyes.

Your eyes were charming,
The way the colors came together,
The way they seemed to sparkle
when you looked at me.

I used to think the reason your eyes sparkled
was because of me,
But I thought it might have been just the sun
Hitting your eyes at the right angle.

Sometimes it was like
Your eyes had so much to express,
Like they had millions of things to say.
I wanted to explore that;
I wanted you to share that with me.
But in the end,
I was left by myself without your eyes,
your soft, loving, tender, caring, eyes.

10
FOR A MOMENT, I HEARD YOUR VOICE For the first time,
As I began a path of falling in love that night.

For a moment, I shared my deepest secrets with you,
As I handed you my heart that's been broken from the start.

For a moment, I held you in my arms
As the moonlight grew brighter, we held each other that night.

For a moment, I kissed you on your lips.
As my heart burned for your love, you locked your beautiful lips with mine.

For a moment I stood by the bedroom door and watched you fall asleep
As if you were an angel from the heavens above.

You were my only love and you will always be,
Even though you are not by my side.
I will always love you
Not for a moment but forever.
If you would have just stayed by my side
I would have loved you and made you happy
Not for a moment but forever.

11

She whispers softly
Into my ear.
Suddenly a thousand melodies
Burst forth in gentle showers

Magnificent rose petals
Rain down from an ethereal sky
And cover our naked bodies
With invisible fragrances
And a deep, long sigh
Fills our souls
With ecstacy

I wake to feel the longing
In the depths of my heart
The dream has ended
For now

12

To be
To have known,
And understood.
To have grasped the truth by merely existing
And observing the results of life--

To know,
To realize,
And comprehend.
To have accepted and come to terms--

To have been.

To have shared
And put between,
Passed through life and
Gained knowledge--

Everything--
Is
To be.

I love
Have loved
Will love
Again--

In love:

With Life,
With One who loves me,
With God--
With Love--

I love.

Forever Loved . . .

Am Love.

13

Love is not dictated to
Love cannot be led by the weak will of the mind
It simply flows wherever it is happiest
And meanders from heart to heart like magic.
No matter how hard you try
Love cannot be placed where it will not
It will win over

Lord Byron
wrote
so many years ago
man's love is a man's
life
a thing apart,
tis woman's whole existence?
over
and over
again
and again
this seems the true
revelation
for man loves
with his head and soul
a woman
loves
with her whole
being
