POETRY: AS LONG AS I HAVE YOU

Look into my eyes,
and see what's really there. . .
look into my soul,
baby, you're in there,
hold me in your arms
and tell me you feel the same,
hold me close and let me know
i'm more than just a game,
take me by the hand and
let me know u care,
don't worry 'bout what others say
or even if they stare,
whisper in my ear
and let me know you're mine,
make me feel "genuwine."
make me feel devine,
Kiss me, baby, warmly,
so u can feel my heart. . .
and know that noithin' can ever tear us apart.

Unspoken words
linger in my soul
Hidden in my chamber
ones never seen before
Shadows of my dignity
my mind, heart, and soul
Crushed by the words you've spoken
ones never heard before
Left behind to find
the will of your way
Never meant to unravel
but these words I had to say
Teased by your outside
a mesmerizing walk
Fooled by your inside
sweet, smart, and soft

Come close to me
and look into my eyes;
tell me what you see.
Try to look deeper in them
and find yourself in me.

During the day or be it night
whatever I see... it's you in my sight.
I see myself in the mirror... it's you.
Thoughts are worthless thoughts
if the thougths are not... of you.

Am I myself?... (I wonder at times)
or is it you in me that shines?
Have you lost yourself... in me?
for it's only you... my eyes can see.

In the still of the night I wrestled with my mind
to not let my heart control my innermost feelings
that come from deep within.
In the still of the night I saw the shadow of your
face, though very glim.
My heart wondered where you had been.
I reached out to touch you and hold you when
at last I realized it was just the rustling of
the leaves from the blowing of the wind.
In the still of the night as my eyes started to weaken
the tears from my eyes and heart fell.
I reached out for you and called your name but to
no avail... again it was the still of the night.
In the still of the night I looked around the corner with a
glimmer of hope that it was your voice I had heard
but again it was the whisper of the wind calling my name.
In the still of the night I hold you my darlin' and I am holding
you so tight. But when the dawn breaks and I am wide
awake I realize in all my grief...
it was just a dream that was in the Still of the Night.

I believe my heart is too small, to hold my love for you.
It overflows day after day, unplenished by all you do.
I believe my hands are too small to take your burdens away
Yet, they will do their best to sooth your every pain.
I believe my eyes are to shallow to stare into eyes of such depth
Yet, so many nights seeing your love for me, I silently wept.
I believe my feet are too weak to lead you where you should go.
But I'll take you with me, wherever it may be
if you would like to follow.
I believe life is too short to accomplish all I wish to do.
But I'll cherish every second, as long as I have you.

No matter where you go
No matter where you are
You are always in my heart
That means I'm not that far

Miles may come between us
But our feelings will hold true
As long as there is love in me
I'll be there for you

Because it was meant for us to meet
And even fall in love
Who are we to criticize
What came from up above?

An angel that was sent to me
Who guided me on my way
To being the better person
Who stands before you today

So if you ever question things
And the distance seems too far
Look up unto the sky at night
God's holding our shining star

I'm clear to the nature of things,
So dear to my soul,
I've seen what's been bothering me,
Now I can give life my all,
So sweet are the scent of the red roses,
I used to hate them before,
So subtle are the words "I Love You",
Now I can say them and mean even more,
There's an angel deep within my soul,
I can feel it's presence with me everyday,
After years of searching and endless pain,
I feel a love inside that's going to stay,
If there is a moral to the previous verse,
Believe that there is a "love" for everyone,
For when your eyes meet another two hearts embrace,
Your minds are one in that lifetime moment,
I call Love

Lost in your eyes is where I find myself?
Because in your eyes can my heart melt?.

I often find I dream of you?
Never sure of what to do?

I often wonder if I'm sane?
But for you I'm crazy? it's so insane?.

To hear your voice,
Is to watch my heart soar?

To hear you say hello?.
Leaves me begging for more?

Some say it's obsessive?
But that can't be true..

Many say it's like that?
Cause I'd do anything for you?.

But I know it's cause I love you?
And I think I always will?

Because you captivate my heart?
And for you my heart stands still?

So as I tell you darling?
Of how I feel for you?.

Promise you'll stay with me?
And that you love me too?

Time after Time,
I dreamed for you to be mine,
I lived inside my heart,
Feeling Lonely, and broken apart,
I would give up my world just to hold you once more,
And I would wish upon each and every star,
The nights would pass,
And every day would just go by so fast,
The days I would live without you in my mind,
So much pain I would feel inside,
And just when my heart was back together again,
You came back to me to pick up where we left off in the end,
I finally felt happiness fill me inside,
And I would find happy thoughts actually running through my mind,
i was still scared, but willing for any risk,
Just to hear my heart pick back up and begin to tick,
I felt like a clock that could turn back time,
And it made me realize that you have always kept me inside,
Not I sit here and think about everything that is going on,
And I am scared to hold on because I am scared you might
disappear and be gone,
Happiness always begins with risks you have to take,
But hopefully this risk does not end up being a re-run of a heartbreak,
Things seem to me as if they changed,
But I don't know, maybe it will all end up being the same,
Time is the answer to find out where I'll be,
And time is the only answer to see if you truly love me,
I will wait for the truth to be revealed,
Hoping each and every day that our love
will always and forever be something we both feel...

Thinking of the woman in my dreams,
I want to hold her so bad I could scream.
She says I am her angel and she loves me.
If she does, then why is she not here for me to see?

She is my love and my guide.
Her love is like an arrow right in my heart.
It hurts so bad day and night, because we are so far apart.
She should be here with me at night when we close our eyes.
Instead, we are holding a phone, and we hang up, and my heart cries.

I want her here by my side.
I just want to have her to hold
during the night when I am scared or cold.
I want to feel her loving arms around me
until then my heart will be lost in the sea.

She is the only one who can rescue me and take the tears away.
If she were here, we would walk by the ocean hand-in-hand.
We would throw down a blanket and hold each other in the sand.
The only sound we would hear is our hearts beating as one.
I would be her, and she would be mine, right there, under the sun.

When I hold her, I will never let go.
This woman in my dreams is you.
Each day will be something more and something new.
I want to show you what's deep in my heart and my soul.
Loving you is like nothing I thought I would ever know.

Now, I know, and I do not want to lose or let go.
You are my lover, my friend, and my guide.
These are feelings I try to hold deep inside.
So, in three simple words from my heart,
I love you and have from the very start...
I love you.

Speak not, in shattering tomes
of this, my love for thee
for pen cannot convey these holy thoughts
nor paper hold, unstained, this passion?s blood

Speak not, with rhyming lines
which toddle endless as a child
of this pure heart which labors
till, again, we meet as one

If thou must speak at all
speak with thy lips, thy gentle breath
with unconquerable glory and soaring spirit, speak
with a lover's shattering tone

I'm looking at this star tonight,
Wishing wishes would come true.
I wonder while I stand and look,
If you see the same star, too.

Tonight although there's miles between us,
Perhaps our souls can meet.
At the point this star begins,
Our two hearts can find their beat.

Do you feel the need for someone,
To fulfill your empty life.
I'm wishing for the same thing,
As I watch this star tonight.

This gentle breeze I'm feeling,
That soothes my heart of sorrow.
I'm wondering will it find you,
And soothe your heart tomorrow.

A hopeless born romantic,
Ever searching for true love.
Wishing wishes in the darkness,
To this star that hangs above

I would take the stars from the sky
and give them to you
I would do anything you want, I would die
for you, if you want me too

I would write the most beautiful rhyme
for you to see
I would stop all of time
for you to be with me

I would give you my heart
if to take it you choose
I would let you tear me apart
if I could just be with you

It's sad to think I love you this much
...but it will never be enough

A rumbling sound crushed one night
It touched my skin, I tasted the rancor
The passion was there holding me tight
Totally pernicious
One question I had: what was it for?

Continuous evolution
Altered everything around
One complete revolution
Brought anew
An innovation of wondrous and abominable sound

This love's so inalienable
Insipid, at the same time savory
So... unexplainable
Love's an eccentric thing
Cannot be freed from impunity

A fervor led me to fiasco
That made me understand all I do and do not see
An exquisite woman like you helped me know
The total feeling of tranquility
And that love's life is truly uncanny

Here I am today, living with sentiment
From dawn until doom
I was touched by love, so tangent
I knew "fide et amor"
Her perfect touch will be in perpetuu

Feel the essence of your skin
Beautiful and glistening
I'm held captive once again
To the angel placed before me
To the softness of those eyes
Imprisoned by your loving stare
All the ways you tantalize
My senses lose the battle
And fall with mercy at your feet
I'm too weak to resist you now
I crave those kisses oh so sweet
Devour me with your love, my angel,
Pulsating deep inside
So wrapped up in a fantasy
In a passion we can't deny
Feed the demons of loneliness
Satisfy the beast in me
Hold me tight, just for tonight
And create a moonlight memory
