THOUGHT: WATCHING A LOVING COUPLE
This weekend I went to resturant and was enjoying my ginger peach tea. At the restaurant I saw a couple having their meal....(ok...ok don't ask whether it was dinner or supper that they were having...I didn't really interview them hahaha) and the love that was flowing between them was amazing...no words were exchanged in the entire time they were enjoying their meal (well not exactly, I think there were small chit chat sessions during that time) but the way the woman shared her drink and meal with her partner was a sight to be seen...I can't describe it but there was something there...it was simply...AMAZING...by the way they were quite an old couple (I presume they are married) that is what was amazing... the love was still there as if they were still courting each other like today's youngsters... then it struck me that all the reading and watching of romantic english was a big flop compared to the live love scene that I was watching. Let me share with you a real life story, I have a patient whose heart was crushed into the size of a crushed light bulb... by his ex-fiancee (this was some time ago) who left him because he had nothing at the moment (no car, no house...only a motorbike and that also was an old one...the only thing he had was a heart full of love and loyalty+ sincerity) but after some time he managed to heal himself not fully but enough to move on and after that he found that special someone, who is now his fiancee (she's a gem of a person, she wasn't beautifull to me the first time I saw her but her inner beauty was so strong that it started showing physically and I knew right then why my patient fell for her...and I'm extremely happy for him) and he is so happy now... he once told me why he loves her alot and how he knows that she loves him more than words can describe...and he sees it in the way she does things for him, he continued by telling me an incident where both of them went shopping to buy a similar mobile phone for themselves... he found a particular mobile phone which he liked alot but his other half wasn't intested in that phone, but when she saw how much he liked the phone she changed her mind saying she liked it very much also...and my patient was like, "huh...what happened?" and he asked her repeatedly for some time on why she chose the phone if she didn't like it... she then replied with a smile saying, "if you like the phone, I too can learn to like it"... to some her move might look stupid because she bought a phone that she didn't like... but try to look beyond that...they both went out together with the intention of getting a similar mobile phone, but when she saw her love liking a phone that she didn't , she SACRIFICED her choice so that he would get what he wanted and be happy... to me that's an amazing love story all together. We all know there are different kinds of love but they all have something in common which is that they all call for a certain type of scarifice (not in a bad way but rather in a good way). The ultimate form of love by scarificing themself for others. Everyday somewhere... well lets not go so far... right now... at this very moment, somewhere, somehow, there's someone showing their love to another person in the most beautifull manner that is by being sincere, loyal, honest and kind... and to me, each and every single one of these moment's is a great love story ready to be told so that other's may have the courage to do the same and find whoever that they are looking for... and the best part is that a smile is all that is needed to start the entire magical journey. Now I understand what love is all about... well I might not understand evrything about it... but I'm starting to understand it.
