POETRY: HER SOUL

I caught a glimpse
of your soul
as I touched you inside.
I kissed your heart
ever so softly
and blessed you inside
with a love that will never die.
I could feel you
I could feel all of you.
Never
had I felt so safe,
secure,
than I had
in your arms
within your soul.
And never
will I feel that way,
ever,
with any one else.

I'm lost within a dream,
a waking dream, a day dream
where reality is not so real.
Where my chosen path has become mired and choked
with thorns of discontent and indifference.
This dream world of a cold, dark wood
chokes the breath of life
from my mind, body, soul, hopes and desires...
killing me in ways I may not even be aware of.

Yet, I keep walking this path...

I stretch my head up, hoping for the sweet smell
of fresh air to fill my being and find renewed strength.
As I look to the sky, I see something...

A dream within a dream?
It's magnificence blinds me, I look away,
fearing it may be gone
when I summon the courage to turn and face it.
Was it some magnificent bird?
A sign of life returning to this nightmarish wood?
An angel? Is Heaven sending one of its own to deliver me?

Scared and excited, I turn to face that which has shaken me
to the core ... and I am filled with awe.

No bird, real or fantastic, could have such brilliance and beauty.
Nor do I think any angel could be as stunning as what I behold.
I reach out to grasp it, but fail.
I long for its gentle touch to caress my cheek,
I know it could never be.
Then I realize... though my path is still cool and dark,
that the air is lighter, almost pleasing...
and a new warmth has covered me.

My feet still slip, but I walk my path with more confidence.
I begin to see new signs of life awaken before me,
and I realize the nightmare may end soon,
for the vision I see before me is lighting my way.
I see the majesty of the rising sun
in its royal robe of purple, orange, and gold
compel me forward and whisper to me saying...
"Peace to all..."
"Have hope... for it's a new day."
"Have faith... for I believe in you..."

Now I continue to walk my path, looking for a possible fork
to turn off.
Although there is none in sight,I smile,
for I will forever see the glow of the coming sun behind my eyes,
and feel the warmth on my heart.
When night comes and I rest, I dream of the morning,
bringing me comfort in the darkness.
I eagerly await the presence of that new day
to provide the inspiration that fuels me.
And with my new love, I long to once again bask
in the being of the dawn reborn.

A kiss
on the hand - like centuries ago
gentleman kiss thy lady's hand, so soft.
Angel wings brush against his back.
"Oh, gentle angel, may I love thee forever and ever?"

A kiss
on the arm - like lovers underneath the pale, blue sky
chills along her spine, like arrows in her heart.
Angel feathers fall softly on the floor.
"Oh, gentleman, love me forever and let me not shed a tear!"

A kiss
on the lips - soft, like the breeze in the morning
thy kiss so sweet, yet so powerfull.
Angel wings are opend wide,
"To have and to hold"
"And if I may pass away, clip my wings
and fly away!"

I close my eyes, I can still see your smile
As sweet as the day
I close my eyes when I go to sleep
I can still see your body next to me
Your back is to me, the curves of your hips, the shape of your back
All imprinted on my mind

I reach out and I can feel your soft skin
I feel your back- how warm it is,
How the goose bumps pop up
As I run my hand over your body
The way my hand glides, like a gentle breeze over your body,
Feeling you close to me

I close my eyes and still feel your hair
As it falls over me when you lay near me
The softness of each strand, like strands of silk
The kisses are still upon my lips
I close my eyes and you are there with me
Holding me, touching me... loving me

gazin into your eyes, the very windows to your soul, lookin through to see what our future may hold. your gorgeous hair flowin over your shoulders like rays of sun, both of us daydreamin of the day we will become one. that sweet seductive smile and the charm that goes along, that is i need to keep my heart beatin and strong. your cute laugh is like sweet music to my ears, the same sweet music that make my eyes water with joyous tears. rememberin all the times we had will always be in mind and engraved in my heart, these are all the qualities that made me fall for you from the start.

Her beauty exceeds that of angels,
From her eyes which sparkle like moonlight on the ocean,
To her lips soft and thin, yet so dark a crimson rose
Cannot hold a light to their beauty.

Her soul, so pure and enchanting,
It touches each life it encounters
With such an uplifting feeling that words cannot begin
To describe the impact it places on them all.

A friend who will never turn her back on you
Even when most others would,
She is truly a blessing to have in friendship.

One cannot help but to love her,
For she is everything one could want
And yet does not know it,
Which makes her all the more intriguing.

When she moves it is with such grace
That one?s head cannot help but to turn to see her.
When she dances it is with her soul,
Reflecting her beautiful spirit and all splendor that makes her unique,

In her eyes and on her face
You can see the state of ecstasy she is in,
Truly this is when she is happiest.

Her love for life is an inspiration to all,
How she finds a positive side to every downfall,
The way she finds light in the darkest places.

She is truly a humble spirit and an extraordinary woman,
With such a beautiful body to hold all of these qualities
Which make her so endearing.

She will always take precedence over everything in my life,
And this is a feeling and a promise I will never share with another,
