POETRY: AND BEING LOVED BY YOU, OH WHAT GREAT JOY, LIKE KNOWING THE STARS

You tell me your stories
Every ghost that has haunted your past
The hurdles of infinity
And I could swear that the same clouds
Have rained upon us
You sing a song so familiar
And I'm speechless
Such an old soul
In such a new form
May not be conveniant in the eyes of society
Or god itself
But to me -
I could describe you in a million different ways
So many little things about you
I know they're there
Yet I can't seem to place my finger on it
You are my beacon
My sunlight after a thunder storm
My laughter
And I wonder -
Have I fallen too far too fast?
Or are you just a fixation?
But I don't want to believe it
You remain on my pedestal
Always perfect
Always beautiful
Handled delicately
Like I might break you
And I'd lose what I hold so dear
My laughter, my beacon -
If you left, I fear,
The storm would return.

A gentleman proposed
to the lady he loved so 
they planted a seed sixty years ago
in the back yard of their home

The winds blew and rain poured down
winter came and froze the ground
spring thawed the ice and snow
the seed became a weeping willow

Limbs sprang out with leaves of green
shading all the grass beneath
a perfect place to lay and dream
of years gone by and places seen

shadows crossed their faces now
age-worn wrinkles in their brow
this mighty tree shows the way
of this couple, still in love today

That the wind watches
and sees the battered heart;
that the mistress waits;
from her destiny she cannot part.

Though it carries her thru
storms and troubled times,
she will not turn away from
loves mysteries found in rhymes.

She know the truths of him
hidden deep within his soul;
and still she stands for him
in fire and in the cold.

Trapped willingly she waits
in brilliant day & dark black nights;
His love travels with hers
never far from their sight.

Inside this man she dances;
it is the way, after her fashion;
she pulls him into her arms
surrounding him with her passion.

He takes her away on the wind;
warmth flows vibrant within;
she is lost completely in him
over and over again.

When is it right
To look in your eyes,
And fall like an angel, 
From the heavenly skies.

Or have I fallen
But soft and slow
With patience and time,
For you alone.

I wait for days,
Yet it seems like years.
I think of ways,
To hold you near.

I fell and stood,
In a warm gaze.
Looking for love,
In hidden ways.

How do I tell you
When it's so clear.
Look deep in my heart,
Love is near.

Let us be,
An inseperable two.
And in a single breath,
Say "I do".

Knowing you 
is like breathing in the first smell of rain after the summer heat, 
like sitting in an alpine meadow at twilight, 
or perhaps running along the beach at night 
with only the moon as my guide.

But the act of loving you is not so easily expressed, 
it turns the soul to water, making each day
drip by in endless beauty,
seeping into everything.

And being loved by you, oh what great joy, like knowing the stars
in the sky, or laughing, singing with the wind. 
Just believing: it's better than any dream
it frees both the spirit and the mind.

One day in your precious life, 
someone will walk in and you'll find out 
that's the person you want to spend eternity with. 
If you're lucky, 
you'll get to spend that eternity with them, 
but even if you somehow lose them, 
they stay a part of you forever, 
and so does their love, 
because once love has branded itself on your heart, 
it becomes a part of you, 
something you can't live without.

Love is being able to say "I'm sorry",
but how much struggle and pain should one endure?
Love is putting another in front of yourself,
but what are the limilts set to this never-ending game?
Do we blindly fall into these feelings
without looking back and wondering where we are?
Does love truly conquer all?
Or do we fool ourselves into thinking so?
What is love?
I guess, I'll truly never know!
Once or twice, I thought I had found my "true love" only to
be awaken in a rude manner.
But life's little lessons are slowly, but surely, leading me down
the path of reassurance and to the road 
of the most important love...
SELF-LOVE!!!

Face lifted to the sun,
eyes wet from tears;
memories carried across the mind
when you were my- career.

Holy was the act of love,
your breath... my desire.
Body movements, slow & sultry,
a heart catching fyre.

A tempting touch, too deliberate,
sweetness wrapped in passion;
destruction closely, near to me,
vibrant in its actions.

Flowing grace of my heart,
vanishes into rage;
dreaming dark, like the night,
trapped within this cage.
yesterday wasted now,
in wishing for tomorrow.

So, I go blindly forth,
into worlds I never touch;
looking for freedom's dream,
but needing you so much.

Tripping through a verbal landscape,
trying to follow, somehow;
listening to the sounds of him,
so soothing to me now.

My blood slows down,
my ears can hear,
the wild winds whispering;
"Forever hold me near".

These are but brief moments now,
our dancing phantom nights,
but those moments are enough
for my soul to soar within your flight..

Pieces, parts and bits, that's what I am
Pieces of your love left behind
Parts of our life scattered across my soul
Bits of happiness laying in my mind

Pieces, parts and bits, that's how I feel
Pieces of my love strewn all over the room
Parts of my heart, empty from the space you used to fill
Bits of my life, still unclear how to fill the time

Pieces, parts and bits, that's all I have
Pieces of the dream of our life together
Parts of the lies you told that I still believe
Bits of the pain that still tears me apart

Pieces, parts and bits can never be put together
Pieces of the days we spent in love
Parts of the memories of the love we shared
Bits of the time we had not so long ago

Pieces, parts and bits is how I will become whole again
Pieces of your love I will keep as I go on
Parts of my heart you will always be as I stop loving you
Bits of my soul I will never get back from you

Pieces, parts and bits of you is all I have left.

Sweat dripping along his chest,
His lips kissing her gentle body,
Their love complete,
Their souls combined,
Love is true to them,
Heart's desire,
Lust of a lover,
Pains in the morning, 
Nine months later,
A child comes,
They love each other, 
Hold the child, 
Raise it,
Deep feelings rising,
Love becoming nothing but pleasure,
Pleasure becoming lust once again,
Lust for a lover,
Hearts desire, 
Painful dread,
Love of another,
A fire of lust,
Lust for a lover,
Hearts desire,
I love you always,
Dearest of mine,
Lust of a lover,
Hearts desire,

Know in thy heart
I'm the one
Whose soul is
entwined with thine

Through eternity
Our hearts are one
They can never be separated
by foe or sorrow

Nothing can come between us
Heaven is on our side
Remembrance of love is
Forever written in the mind.

I would give you the moon to light your path at night 
I would give you the stars with everlasting light
The heavens would be yours to make you feel safe inside
The wings of an angel so that you could forever glide

I would give you these things if at all possible I could
I am telling you this- I promise I really would
But these things are not physically attainable to you or to me
There is something I could give that might please you for eternity

I would give you the world for you to do with as you wish
I would give you the ocean down to the very last little fish
Even the sun would be yours to hold for the rest of time
And the power of peace so everyone, like you, would be so kind

But once again I cannot achieve these things for you
I wish I could, but there are some things I cannot do
There is but one thing that makes all these seem faint
I hope that by reading this... you see the picture I want to paint

I would give you the universe for you to roam as you please
I would give you a kingdom full of servants on their knees
A mighty touch that could turn objects into gold
Or the courage of an army or a lion, brave and bold

All these are wonderful but much more than slightly out of reach
And not being greedy is something the lord will always teach
In your eyes are all these things in one glimpse of your soul or another
But the one thing I can give you none of these things seem to cover

I can give you something that will always remain the same
Yet, at times it varies from wild to very tame
I will give you the one thing about me that has never been in bad taste
And what you do with it is up to you, but please don?t use it in haste

I am giving you my heart, which is very dear to me
I know it looks like something small, but it will last you for eternity
You are the only one who will hear this in the way I am going to say
I love you..l. and forever that will stay.

Bitten, black round stick medium pen
Can't keep up and it slows me down
Neurons firing and my souls ablaze
As I look at these last few days

Smell of the changing leaves,
The touch of your hand
That says we've signed the deal
To fall in love 

As Fall drops its clothes 
Before us
A naked tree, I long to be
As naked as you are above me
I'm always the last to drop

And the first to fall
Keeping my roots hidden 
Behind an earthen wall
And when I'm with you
I hardly feel them at all.
