POETRY: THE DEEPEST LOVE

The deepest love always
comes from the heart.
My deepest love is
the love I have for you.
Our love is perfect and right
it comes from deep inside our hearts.
My love for you will stay strong
as long as it's the deepest love from my heart.
Love from the bottom of our hearts,
is the only way to make
our relationship worthwhile.
The deepest love
is my only way to show
how I really feel about you.
It comes from the
deepest part of my heart.

Love starts within and expands outward;
There is no end to where love goes.
Time doesn't measure how far love will progress,
Just the heart's need of it.

The mind keeps love alive
With all the imagination in its soul which love holds.
That look we treasure, the passion we build on,
Leave none to fill.

When bodies touch and the need is filling,
That passion lingers on for infinity.
Love is like a rushing river, it runs long and deep,
Feeds its tributaries and we grow strong because of it.

That devotion, with all of its rewards is but a sample
Of all that is rich in the seductiveness of oneself.
Love that is true doesn't care about the negative
Only the positive

And enjoys the wonders of all of it,
And shines with the warmth of that love.

It is impossible to capture in words
the feelings I have for you
I now have the strongest feelings
that I have ever had about anyone
Yet, when I try to tell you them
or try to write them down for you

The words do not even begin to touch
the depths of my feelings for you
And though I cannot explain
the essence of these phenomenally feelings
I can tell you what I feel like
  when I am with you...

When I am with you it is as if:
    I were a bird
Flying freely in the clear blue sky
    I were a flower
Opening up my petals of life

When I am with you it is as if:
I were the waves of the sea
       Crashing strongly against the shore
I were the rainbow after the storm
Proudly showing my colors so pure and vividly

When I am with you it is as if
Everything that's beautiful surrounds us...

This is just a small part
of how wonderful I feel when I am with you
Maybe the word "Love" was invented
to explain the deep heart felt
all-encompassing feelings we feel and enjoy

But, somehow, it is not strong enough
Yet, since it is the BEST word there is
Let me tell YOU a thousand times that
I Love YOU more than LOVE!!!!!

On a day such as this when sunshine begins to rise upon us
And the night-time of enchanting stars leave, for a time faded,
I fumble in the hue of morning, outstretch my hand to touch you
I am taken in by this moment in time with thoughts of just you and me
And the love that willingly seeded itself inside both of us
Bound together, it is a love full of song for one another to nurture
We encircle each other's world through each day's passing
There it can still be found sharing the same existence
within our hearts
Within a halo of unity it gathers all the precious things
only life can bring
As we greet each day, together hand in hand,
bringing with it a soft freshness
Awakening us to find reasons anew
to fall in love all over again and again
As the summer's warm afternoon sun shifts aimlessly among the clouds
The air vividly wisps by our shoulders
with its gentle voice of touch
Singing to you and me, a love song of joy
emitting all the scents of life
Often it is love that helps us
recognize the abundance of compassion that we possess
Bringing forth forgotten feelings
that in time may become lost in a hidden cascade
Reacquainting wisdom to the mind
to open our hearts for the other to find shelter
As the day slowly unfolds all of its passion for life
within one another's eyes
Blossomed, it has become the seed to grow
and become an unconditional love
For it to unfold into our arms
for what is now caring giving loving and needing
The essence of what true love is
in sharing a lifetime with the one who holds your soul
To be awakened with the sun arising
and to gaze at the enchanting stars approaching
To dream and be loved
be loved and to dream with the other one that is your heart

I asked 12 men over 60 what they miss most about their 40s and not one of them said their career, their body, or their social life — every single one described a moment so specific and so small that I had to pull over to write them down by Tommy Baker

You know what I miss? The sound of the garage door when she’d get home from her pottery class on Thursday nights.” That’s what Frank told m...
