POETRY: HERE'S TO THE ONE I TRULY LOVE

Here's to the one I truly love,
the one I truly trust,
the one I?d live and die for
and the one who puts up with me
day in and day out...
How you do it, I may never know
but, what I do know is,

I truly love you with
all my might,
   all my glory,
      all my mind,
         all my body,
            all my heart and
               all my soul.

I love you for who you are,
who you want to be and for how you will be.
I love you for being there when I need you most,
even though I don't open up to you.
I love you too much for words to describe
or for pictures to show.

You are that special someone,
the special someone I am lucky to have met.
Though it hurts not to be able to be with you,
it's to my comfort to know you love me.

This is to you, the one I truly love.

Beauty , I do
    I married, always cherish

           Beauty is you
It's the way your soul sparkles
          on a rainy day
And when we lay in bed, warm
     when it's 20 below outside

       Beauty , is coming home
    2 a smile, 2 a hand of peace
2 arms of love , 2 all in my life

Beauty, is somthing that begins inside
    I thank you, 4 opening my eye's
         2 a beauty so divine

Honey, baby, Beauty is combing your hair
while we watch the late night matinee
      Beauty, is the inspiration
I receive from you 2 write this song
And if I was blind, It wouldn't matter
Because the beauty I feel, is coming from
the light inside your divine soul
Only God  knows truly, but I'm planning
2 do the best 2 return
All the beauty ,I've found in you

Nothing can describe the way you look right now
In the candlelight
Except maybe the warm bask of an angel
The innocent presence of a sleeping child
The heart-warming smile of a little puppy
The calming waves of the ocean
The steady sway of the trees
The inspiring shapes of the clouds
Or the uncontrollable beat of my heart
And if you smile at me now
I think it will collapse

I need your love, I can?t explain,
Your touch eases my every pain.
It seems you?re always on my mind,
Without your sweet love, my heart is blind.
I just can?t get enough of how you make me feel,
The sound of your voice is what lets me heal.
I know you have the nicest moves,
The throbbing in my chest, your kiss soothes.
I can count on you to always be there,
My every sickness you can repair.
The day that you?re my wife
Will remove that stabbing knife.
Do you see? You?re my cure.

I asked 12 men over 60 what they miss most about their 40s and not one of them said their career, their body, or their social life — every single one described a moment so specific and so small that I had to pull over to write them down by Tommy Baker

You know what I miss? The sound of the garage door when she’d get home from her pottery class on Thursday nights.” That’s what Frank told m...
