POETRY: I SEE ME GIVING MY HEART TO YOU

I see a picture in my mind,
The  music that I hear.
Takes me back so far away,
The time that you were near.
Shadows dancing, fire burning,
Snow is falling, love is turning,
To think of you.
I miss those times we had together.
Thunder clouds and stormy weather.
You, so close and warm beside me.
And even now the fire burns,
The love, forever, in my heart,
With no place to go,
But the picture in my mind,
And the music that I hear.
Is you.

Rose of purity, fresh and white
Pink pastel pallor in the morning
Light of a pale day
You my love in your demure ways
Delicately taking of the day
In an exaltation of giving
Pure pink passion in white
O how exquisitely seductive
Your magical looks of innocence
In knowing the world and wanting
To love and be loved
A spiritual child of refreshing vitality
A lover of the flesh in mystical
Movements of an endless longing
Loving and giving
White pink rose of heightened desires
Passionate purity in your eyes
Your form perfect in its youthful vibrance
In calmness a princess of the stars
Ethereal in persuasion, earthly in needs
An earthy vision of sensuality
A rose of purity divinely given

My love for you
  is deeper than
the grand canyon,
  and stronger than
a tornado.

It will forever be
  this way...
I can't explain
  the way i am,
words just can't
  touch how i feel.

I know that we
  are meant to be.
This love we share
  thru eternity.
The road ahead
  will be long
and there will
  be hurdles for
us to overcome--

but i am not
  worried about
these things--
  we will overcome
whatever they may be--
  because a love
like ours.....
  must be destiny!

When I need you
I just hold out my hand
And I'll touch you.

You're there when I need you
To give a shoulder to cry on
When I feel I need to die
You're there to wipe away my tears
And share all my hopes and fears.

When I need someone to lend
A helping hand
I just turn to you and you're there
To advise and understand.

When I need someone to share all
My hopes and dreams
You open up your arms
And show me what love means.

When I need you you're always there
To listen, advise and care
You always show your affection
And say you love me so
You tell me that you need me
and that you never want to let me go

Once I knew you, but now you've disappeared
I thought I saw you, but you weren't there
I thought you knew what love was- maybe you didn't
I knew I had love for you - there was no question
But I didn't care if you really loved me
Or if they were just words that you spoke
I clung to you and needed you
But you died and are now a ghost

A vague picture in my mind
Why can you love what you can't see?
Why do you feel the touch of what's no longer there?
I can still remember in my dreams
But when my eyes awake my dream closes and reality stares me in
  my face,

         Yes,I know my heart.
I'm in love with your ghost.

Without you
I would not exist
In any shape or form

Without you
Life would mean nothing
No emotions
NONE...

Without you
There would be no us
To look forward to

   AND...

Without you
The sun would not rise
In my soul
I would be left empty... forever

She is my sun, my moon, my stars
she holds half the love we call ours.
She is my grass, my bush, my tree
she makes me happy and her love comes free.
She is my gust, my wind, my breeze
she is my love that comes with so much ease.
She is my emotions, my happy, my sad
I'd gladly give her all the love that I have.
She is my earth, my air, my sky
everything beautiful I see with my eyes.
She is my drink, my snack, my food
she always puts me in a good mood.
She is my eyes, my lips, my heart
our love has made a brand new start.
She is my river, my lake, my streams
she is my everything, whatever it means.
She is my blonde, my brunette, my red

A little boy stands all alone
gazing among the trees,
he watches as the birds fly by
and falls to his knees.

He looks straight up into the tree,
much to his surprise,
a little bird falls from it's nest
and lands by his side.

He watches as the bird lies still,
lying on the ground.
He cuddles the bird in his palm
and begins to look around.

The other birds fly close
making a shreaking sound,
the mother bird flies by his side and
he lays the little bird down.

The mother bird looks at the boy
the boy begins to cry,
then the little bird gets straight up
and soon begins to fly.

The little boy looks at the mother bird
with a smile upon his face.
He lifts the mother bird into the air
I guess "everything has it's place".

Now the little boy has grown up
and a family of his own,
he'll never forget that little bird
and the love it's mother had shown

How can i define the word Love?
Love comes from the heart
It's like heaven and hell
It's like a game with no one control
It's like a balloon, going whichever way the wind blows
It's has different emotions
It's like an angel or a devil
It's just as much as you think it is
It's like a riddle

It can make you hurt and drive you crazy
It can give you a whole new world
It can also destroy your world
It tastes like strawberries
A little sour, a little sweet
It will never stop until you die...

I close my eyes and see you there
waiting
arms open, ready to love me
to hold me close to your heart.

I see you motioning me to you
...my self needing your touch.

I see our hearts intertwining
a love that can sustain us
...can carry us to the unknown.

I see us embracing
...falling into each other.

I feel you kissing me tenderly
taking me to a place only we can be.

I see our love overpowering any doubts we may have had
carrying us to a world of love and happiness.

I see me giving my heart to you
...having yours in return.

I see my future beginning with you
...yours with me.

I see me loving you
...you loving me.

Us together
...eternally.

I asked 12 men over 60 what they miss most about their 40s and not one of them said their career, their body, or their social life — every single one described a moment so specific and so small that I had to pull over to write them down by Tommy Baker
