POETRY: ONLY EYES MEETING EYES

Your hair floats like silk, in the calm misty air,
As the sun lifts you up and carries you here,
Into my heart with a breath of fresh air.
You came so smoothly, with love and care.

I remeber the feeling, the first time i saw you,
Your beauty so lovely i want to cry.
I deCided to love you, no matter how i would do.
At that point in my life i was ready to die.

I think of you every day and all night.
I think of eyes and i think of your smile,
As the thought fills me with delight.
Your voice is like music to my tuned ear,
As the love from your heart carries me there

I find safety, reassurance and love in her presence.
At the sound of her voice all worries are discarded.
I long for the day my words and actions will at last describe
my love for her.

She is above all others.
She emits this sense of compassion that soothes one's heart.
Perfection never looked more beautiful than when she?s standing in front of me;
her smile takes me miles away from the present.

She is the end of a long search for happiness
and the beginning of eternal bliss.
Captivated by her stare, one searches for answers,
but finds only deeper mystery.

I feel lost without her; she is all that is great in me.
She is what fills the emptiness in me.
I find reason and understanding in her.
She is a dream come true? the answer to all that I ponder.

To imagine life without her is a pain I do not dare challenge.
What does she feel?
Does she speak for herself,
or does her fear speak for her?

She is hope when I?m certain that all is lost.
I hold her responsible for the endurance that continues to push me onward.
She fills me with the confidence that molds a great character.
She understands me better than I understand myself.

She sees right through me and I fear not her judgment.
I value her words beyond those of others.
How can one so perfect inflict such an emense amount of pain?
I watch as she builds me up...

Then observe, defenseless, as her creation is destroyed
by the love I have for her.
She is my greatest strength,
only to, in turn, be my greatest weakness.

No matter how close I hold her, I know in my heart
she will forever be so far from reach.
She is the perfection that drives me,
but the one I may never attain.

A godess of the sea, reflecting the sky
A vision of an angel above the clouds so high
Spreading your wings across the star filled night

Love, no words are enough
No meaning of strong desire
Can explain this burning fire
Through the colors that you show, shines your pure soul

On a darker night, before you arrived
Drifting on illusions that I couldn't fight
My last try, long ago had died in a world where I could no longer be
In the midst of my falling, you captured me on feathered wings

A tear placed in the sky
Fell alone on a cloudless night
I believe it was Him watching
Looking over His plan, when He sent you to me

Alone I'll never be
Even when you're not here with me
You'll still be within me
The embers in our united souls always will forever glow

In a sky of indigo

on a winter's night,

I see your eyes

in the sky and stars.

Loving twinkles of light

fall upon the blanket

of snow,

turning it into a field

of glittering jewels...

a treasure fit for a faerie queen

or stored in a dragon's hoard.

This is the effect

you have on my spirit and heart,

filling them with light

and the promise

of summers, everlasting

that move or rest
in perfect tempo
to that silent music

I caught a glimpse
of your soul
as I touched you inside.
I kissed your heart
ever so softly
and blessed you inside
with a love that will never die.
I could feel you
I could feel all of you.

had I felt so safe,
secure,
than I had
in your arms
within your soul.

with any one else

Turn down the music,
Shut off the lights;
Tonight, this love we have
Will be taken to new heights

Look down upon the others
Feeling sorry for what they miss;
Yet, in no way, are we any better,

Looking up to the stars above;
Looking upwards to Heaven;
The sweet sound of eternal bliss,
All I can hear is your soft breathing.

We will then return;
What is happening without us,
I show it no concern

She couldn't have known
Laying there dreaming in her sleep
I watched the rhythm of her breathing
And took it as my own.
Silently I turned and walked away
Wondering if her sighs were hints of my name
If her slumber thoughts were all of me
Was I the pillow she held tightly that way?
I ventured back in another night
Barely enough light to chance a peek
She sat with a book, looking lovingly at the pages
Was there mention of us in the black and white?
Silently I turned and walked away
Knowing her heart and eyes were as one
Were there words of me that made her smile
Would she ever truly say?
I slept away myself, and ever so much deeper
Dreaming on and on of a picnic scene
The perfect spot of quiet and green
On that blanket I wanted to always keep her.
Begging my God for me not to wake
We lay back, face to face
No words at all, only eyes meeting eyes
Love is a rain drop, a puddle, a stream, then a lake.
The grass and the trees staged a romantic play
Robins and jaybirds sang for us
As all the clouds tried dancing with the sun
All the world turned around us where we lay.
Begging my God for me not to wake
Pleading for more time and darkness of night
Dawn snuck in and slapped open my eyes.
Send me back to dreamland, for heavens sake.

Watching you while you sleep,
Watching your silent face,
Wanting to kiss your solemn lips,
Wanting to wake you and tell you,
I have always loved you,
Wondering if you feel the same way too.

I lie beside you now,
Knowing you love me,
Knowing you care.
Fearing the day you will leave me,
Fearing the day you won't care.

I will lie beside you forever,
In your dreams,
And during the night,
Knowing that you will be here,
Lying beside me.

till there was you, my soul wandered through the immense darkness
my soul had no beam of light to guide it through its void.
till there was you, I thought time had bound my love
now I'm certain my love will never evolve around time.
till there was you, I remained but an alien to authentic beauty
the semblance of which even an artist could not capture.
till there was you, I failed to believe my dreams could become a reality
this dream that our hearts would be the link to bounding our souls.
till there was you, I believed love had abandoned me
for your tender and affectionate heart salvaged my convictions.
till there was you, I thought only symphonies could seize such euphony
oh, what a sweet timbre that radiates from your loving voice.
till there was you, I would not have persisted to dawn just to hear your voice
a voice as heartfelt as yours is worth insomnia.
till there was you, I would not have taken another risk of the heart
the risk of your heart is well justified.
till there was you, I believed I would never fall in love again
and my feelings of love were lost for an eternity...

Slowly brushing your hair and touching it's sweet skin.
Let my steady, soft wind put you at ease,
And to your lungs, slowly make its way in.
Just sit calmly take a deep breath.
I promise, no stagnant odors will there be.
Only the beautiful smell of flowers on a wreath,
Could ever be good enough for a girl of your beauty.

I?m not as harsh as Santanna's winds
Or as persistent as the prevailing westerly.
But I'll make sure my breeze is, certainly, no whim.
And never be the cause of your misery.
You might get tired of me after a while,
That's okay, I can play the game too,
I'll keep it up mile after mile,
Until you, finally say: I love you.

is love the way you feel when someone embraces your lips with a kiss?"
is it how you feel when you lose someone special?

does anybody really know what love is?
how it looks, how it tastes? how it feels?
will anyone ever now?

or is love just like so many other things in life
that's gonna go unanswered?
to me love is like a sunrise bright and beautiful in the beginning

but Time... you will turn day into night
and my love into a hollow emptiness
like a broken heart.

for everyone there is a different definition of love
but I believe that there is only one true love for everyone

As I sit - I imagine a love
so deep and pure - one sent from above.
Promises of a life heard time and time again.
Bring a chuckle forth - as I think with a grin.
Everything in the past had a purpose.
Fate's patient guidance took its course.
Remembering past endeavors -

Fate's plan to bring two hearts together -
the two truly meant to be, forever.
Enough to know you're out there - somewhere.
