POETRY: GAZING INTO THE OCEAN OF LOVERS

A chilled winter night.
Diamonds glistening on black velvet.
Heavy silence surrounds me
what wonderment awaits me this night?
The consuming heat of passion?
Shared dreams on a winter night
by candlelight and wine?
Lips caressing my skin softly...
The purest of joys?
Love.

Finding you waiting at the window.
A light burning just for me.
Excitement lights your face at my approach
I am home,
home where my heart feels
such peace it longs for more.
Home to the love of a special woman..
my woman..
my love...
You.

Share this night with me.
Let's walk in the stillness,
bask in the glow of stars.
Happy in the world that is ours.
Holding hands tightly
smiling in our silence...
Speaking a million words
without making a sound.
The language of love.

Velvet skies...
chilled air...
warm hearts...
Home..

They arise from the deep blue
Towering over head
Then toppling down with a thunderous crash
In the night the moon changes their color
Silver that shines and smoothes out the ripples
When looked upon from the outside
Strength and power are illuminated
But when looked upon by lovers
A true reflection is shown
The reflection of true love floating in the waves
Shows the intentions of the hearts
Through just one gaze
One wave is all it takes
In all its power and glory
To make two people fall deeper in love
As I did when I stood with you
Gazing into the ocean of lovers.

She whispers, softly in his ear,
words she longs to hear.
She says, "I love you,"
but he doesn't respond.
She wishes he could love her
and want to hold her for all time.
He sits there wondering if her words are true.
He loves her but doesn't know how to say it.
So, he sits there, silently,
wondering if she knows.
She drives home,
wondering what he is thinking.
She sees lights up ahead.
All of a sudden everything goes black.
He receives a call.
"She is dead," the voice says.
"Who?" he asks.
"The woman you love."
He sits and wonders, "If I had told her,
would she still be alive?"
He stares at the spot where she was sitting--
her scent lingering before him--
cherishing each moment they had shared.
She is gone, not knowing his love.
Remember to tell her before it is too late.

find I'm in this situation yet again,
in between action and lamentation
Not knowing whether to act or to remain
in the cover of thought, doing nothing more
than thinking idly about what could have been,
what once was.

Yet again, I find myself tied down by strands
of my own self doubt, invisibly thin, yet
unbreakably strong, tying me down to mediocrity,
to hopeless thoughts of what could now be
if only I would act on it, or what might be if I do act.
Or I could just do nothing, and let time pass me by
like a single ripple in a rushing river,
like just another day in a lifetime of days gone by,
filled with mediocrity and inaction.
Once more, I find myself faced with the decision,
of whether or not to act, to take a chance at rejection,
to take a chance at acceptance.
Life won't wait for me forever.

I've never seen you?
I've never met you ?
Then why do I wait for you.
How can it happen that each day u bring new life to my existance,
But I don?t know you, I always insist.
Why do I hope you know you are in my heart.
How can I hope we'll never be apart.
Why does my heart want to tell you that somebody loves you,
Far more than you can ever know,
And no one can ever be so.
How come?? I can?t tell,
Maybe I'm under some sort of spell?.
For you, a known stranger? has given me a dream,
Or should I say my life's cream?..
For now I'm living your dream,
As you have made my life a calm stream.
Everytime
I close my eyes
I feel you,
And whenever,
I lift my eyes
I miss you.
Staring at blank,
I always knit a web of our love, hopes and dreams.
And then I feel a heart coming out from somewhere,
With a feeling, too
Growing in me?
that I'm the only one who's heart cares?.
And before even I can realize,
A smile comes on my face,
Making between us a comforting space.
A smile from you works wonders on me.
And your magic not only makes me meek,
But anyone can see a glowing deep blush on my cheek?
And as you look deep into my eyes,
You come too close?
Your warm breathe touching me and mine brushing u..
making me hard to pose.
And as you cupped my face in your soft palms?
My eyes feel heavy and my heart light with ur love charms?
Blood rises high in my veins,
And my heart pounds heavily with excitement?
Which made me forget all my pains.
And then suddenly startled as somebody shook me?
Boy! I said to myself it really took me?
But even then with thief eyes I looked around for you but in vain?
And then in frustration I cried, What is this? Am I going insane??
For there is a heart known to me?
But a face? a stranger? unknown to me?
Am I going crazy,
Or do I dream too much?
But even this is true.. whenever I think of you,
I feel your touch.
I feel, I know, I believe ?
That you are there and you'll understand
what I feel,
What's going on in my heart,
As you'll silently read my thoughts and see my dreams,
I know I can forever rely upon you? whenever the troubles come in,
Cos the threads which I'll sew our heart will be strong, not thin.
With you I know I'll be secure..
Cos my feelings for you and your feelings for me will always be pure.
For my paradise will be your warm and protective embrace,
And that will be my silent praise.
To be honest will forever be my silent craze.
For in your hug?
I know will lie my world,
So rich, so deep, so divine,
With not even a single pain to pine.
Our love will be sincere, pious and pleasant,
Generous, strong, faithful and patient.
So in luv will be we two
That we ourself won't know what to do?..
But I know one thing?
My life will be only with you,
And you'll be the reason I'll be alive.
Yes! Only for you ?.
For I know I'll be there for you,
And you'll be there for me.
I'll have the gift of happiness?
The more you will unwrap it?
the more I'll explore?
cos YOU'll be my life's essence?
And without you I'll be like a flower without fragnance, for I know,
happiness comes from soul's satisfaction? it comes from within u?
And that?s why I won?t have to search for it outside?
till the time I'm with u.
For our world will be a small heaven amidst wilderness.
Where even ur small gesture will be purest expression of our love..
Let it be your warm grasp on my hand,
Or your loving touch.
An unspoken promise, an everlasting trust
I'll abide in your sparkling eyes?
And anyone will be able to see the pain in them if ever I cry.

Cuddled by the fireplace, holding each other's hand. Watching time
sift slowly past, through the hour glass, with each granule of sand.
Music softly plays on the phonograph from times long ago. Your gentle
nibbles you give me, tickle from head to toe. Our eyes gaze towards
looking outside the window. Heart shape tracks driven in the snow,
with yours & mine intials your love for me to show. You whisper so
passionately I want you to know. My love for you will forever & ever
grow. Never will there be another like you. This is how I want
to spend all my winter nights with you.

Cool spring breezes finding their way to those who need it
those who have nothing but the most elementary of satisfactions,
lost in a sense of self-absorbed sorrow, hardened by being alone
in a world catering to those with soul-mates.

These are the refugees of life, if you will,
the nameless...faceless people you pass by every day
without ever giving a second thought...
they are great in numbers, yet unnoticed.

Why? I'll tell you why! because they're alone
either by choice or by sheer fate...
or just an unevenly stacked deck.

Some have pounding hearts of desire, yearning to be fulfilled
by meeting that one person they see and feel in their dreams
but can never reach out and touch.

I want to touch you...I need to touch you...
I can't take it anymore! I need to feel
the soft caress of your skin next to mine
sending the most incredible passionate feelings up my spine.

Two hearts connected permanently
never to be removed or parted
by sorrow and lonesomeness... making life worthwhile.
The long grueling test would now be worth every moment
and savored for the rest of eternity.

Love is unfamilar to none
though some have yet to experience it, truly.
Is it possible to put into words
when meaning broadens from soul to soul?
Through song and verse made poignant
Still, to define touch, measure feeling,
is possible only with understanding.
Not only between lovers, but friends, and family--
those put before yourself,
Because love seeks nothing in return.

It's realizing all their faults
and loving despite them.
It's the way you know so well
to hold their hand though they haven't asked.
It's the risk taken to be closer
and the fear of never getting close enough.
It's the heartbeat skipped when they're near
and the ache when they're gone.

Love endures through unspeakable tragedy
and provides the strength to go on.
It is the promise of comfort and the source of happiness.
It requires neither eye to be seen
nor ear to be heard
but without it, life has no purpose.

Love's purity is unmatched when true,
For those deemed "loved ones" are truly blessed by you.

I put all my strength into building walls and creating barriers-
My own little sanctuary just out of the public eye.
Then, like a mystical creature from a storybook, you appeared-
And taught me that I did not have to hide.

Constantly pushing away my fears and insecurities-
You took my blind heart and taught me to see.
Installing hopes and dreams I thought I had left far behind-
Lost somewhere in my past.

You taught me that some things are meant to last.
Reassuring my uneasy mind-
Allowing me to fall into the abyss of your love.
A daily reminder of all good things yet to come.

Slowly, one by one, my fears disappeared-
Vanished into thin air.
Like a magnificant light- your love came out of nowhere.
Coaxing me out from behind my shadow-

Telling me to notice all of my good qualities.
And, amazingly enough,
Somehow you have forced that shadow
To hide behind me.

So take these words, keep them deep inside your heart
And remember them always...
I love you with my complete mind, body and soul
From now 'til eternity.
